Reddit’s designation puts a distinctive moderation model inside the asymmetric regime: most day-to-day moderation is performed by unpaid volunteer moderators under subreddit-specific rules, while the Article 34 and 35 duties to assess and mitigate systemic risks fall on the provider.
The obligations bite four months after notification — the end of December 2026.
